Letter From the Chairmen

Tee It Up for the Troops Rochester proudly hosted our 14th annual event at Rochester Golf and Country Club on August 19, 2020.  Featuring more than 150 golfers, many supportive sponsors, and more than 100 dedicated volunteers, this 14th annual event at Willow Creek was a tremendous success once again.

While the golf tournament is the main event of the day, the opening ceremony brings many golfers and non-golfers back each year. The opening ceremony offers a patriotic and stirring opportunity to honor our nation, the men and women of our military and our freedoms. It is also a time to pay homage to the fallen veterans represented by our Gold Star families.

An 18-hole scramble golf tournament follows the opening ceremony. The day wraps up with stories and memories shared with new and old friends at the cocktail reception and dinner program, which includes a silent auction, for all tournament guests.

It is simply impossible to pull together this type of sizable event without great planning, organization, and implementation and so we say THANK YOU to our organizing committee and volunteers for your energy and your passion in serving the mission of Tee It Up for the Troops to support America’s veterans and their families!

There is still much to be done and we can NEVER stop in our efforts to show our appreciation. We do need your continued partnership, your sponsorship, your volunteer hours, and your commitment to this cause. Our support for American heroes should never end and they should never be forgotten. We look forward to an even bigger and better event in 2021 as we strive to “honor, remember, respect, and support” all those who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States.
